Yep that's right. Chloe will be a big sister by February of next year. We are very excited to welcome another little one into our family.
So tomorrow is a big day, as we will have a 17 week ultrasound to check on a few things, and if little one cooperates, we should be able to find out the gender!
We don't have a preference to either sex, as each has it's perks.
But I have been referring to baby as "brother" lately, and Chloe's new favorite color is blue. Omens?!
If it's a girl, we already have everything pink we'd need. She and Chloe would be able to grow up close in age and share in many girly experiences together. And if it's a girl, it would keep a balance amongst the cousins. LOL. On the Malmstrom side, that would make 2 Hoffenreich boys and 2 Shepherd girls. On the Shepherd side, it would mean 4 girls, and lots of pink Christmas gifts.
Should we find out we are expecting a boy, we would have one of each, and that would be grand! It would ruin the cousin ratio, with Chloe being the only girl on the Malmstrom side, and baby boy would be the only boy on the Shepherd side. But oh the fun that could be had! Chloe would learn to like frogs and mud, and baby boy would learn to tolerate playing dress up . We'd have to get him a little knight outfit so he can defend the princesses.
Here's our first two ultrasound pictures for your baby viewing pleasure. Not the most attractive images, but there's definitely a squirmy one growing in there. And for that we are very grateful.
