Reunited and It Feels So Good

Three weeks in Washington was great fun with family. But we missed Daddy!
So when he picked us up from the K.C. airport, we decided to take advantage of a few sites and enjoy some quality time with him!
WWI Memorial - LOTS of stairs for little legs to go up and down. It was a great way to tire the little girls out before our 3 hour drive home.

IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE WORLD WAR IN DEFENSE OF LIBERTY AND OUR COUNTRY
A great view of the city.
These two cuties!

Perusing, dinner and dessert at Ikea!

A beautiful sunset stroll on the river walk path. Can you see the ice chunks floating in the river? Luckily it was much warmer than that on land.

Side note: Chloe ran probably close to a mile. It's her new favorite thing, to run. We've decided to cultivate this passion, and it's already started to pay out, by improving her endurance (which she'll need when she starts soccer this summer), and tiring her out for some good long nights sleep.

Our last highlight, Chloe picked up a pretty, purple flower soup spoon, and a connector to help her learn to use chopsticks while at the Chinese Market. We especially enjoyed the fish/meat sections. Baby octopuses!
